Abstract:

A portable generator, designed for ease of installation and autonomous operation, that harnesses clean, renewable wind energy. Using advanced Airborne Wind Energy Systems (AWES), this generator captures wind energy at high altitudes, ensuring a stable and robust energy supply.

Background:

In remote communities and developing countries, the use of fossil fuels and diesel generators is very common as an alternative to establishing connection to the electrical grid due to the long distances and difficult access involved. Each litter of diesel consumed by one of these generators can output around 2.7 kg of CO2, contributing significantly to environmental pollution. Additionaly, these generators require constant refueling, which poses logistical challenges for diesel supply and incurs continuous financial expenditure for energy generation.
